Museum Island Ticket Reviewed: Five Museums in One Day, but Without the Pergamonmuseum
Our verdict: If you want to manage more than one museum, this day ticket is the most sensible choice on Museum Island — provided you know that the Pergamonmuseum is closed and that this ticket, too, is non-refundable.

Redemption and entrance
The ticket is redeemed on Museum Island Berlin. For the Neues Museum, that means: the visitor entrance of the James-Simon-Galerie, Bodestraße. Ticket sales and the cloakroom are also located there; the entrance at the Kolonnadenhof requires a valid ticket. The cancellation policy
As with the simple admission ticket: non-refundable. This is more annoying with a day ticket than with a timed-entry slot, because a rained-out or overbooked day takes five museums down with it here. Who it suits, who it doesn't
The math works out from the second museum onward. Anyone who wants to see the Neues Museum and the Alte Nationalgalerie in one day, or adds the Bode-Museum, needs this ticket. The time problem is bigger than the money problem: the museums close at 5pm or 6pm, and a realistic afternoon start covers two. The ticket doesn't fit if you're only coming for Nefertiti. Then you'd be paying for four museums you won't enter, and the simple admission ticket is enough. And anyone expecting the Pergamon Altar needs to rethink: the Pergamonmuseum has been closed since 23 October 2023, with reopening announced for 4 June 2027.
